49,064 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A modular cab structure for an elevator car which includes a wall portion having rear and side walls formed of a plurality of upstanding wall sections. The wall sections include flanged portions at their lateral edges, with adjacent flanged portions being joined to- gether. The upstanding wall sections include at least two self-standing, right angle corner sections having first and second leg portions which aid in forming the side and rear walls. Decorative panel members are mounted on the inner surface of the wall portion, with the panel members being located and dimensioned to conceal the joints be- tween the adjacent wall sections.
