This invention relates to a modular, external emergency structure particularly suitable for use as a fire escape. This structure comprises several modules stacked one on top of the other; the modules have a closed top surface featuring means suitable to open under the weight of a person and close immediately afterwards. In this way, said person falls into each module in succession in a controlled way, slowing down the fall. The structure comprises a bottom module found at ground level and several other modules, preferably different from the bottom module, to be stacked on top of the bottom module. Ideally, the height of each module should not be less than the height of the floor of the building to which it is connected; while, the height of the structure should not be less than the height of the last floor of the building to which said structure is connected.
L'invention concerne une structure d'urgence externe modulaire utilisable notamment comme escalier de secours. Cette structure comporte plusieurs modules empilés les uns sur les autres, ces modules étant pourvus d'une surface supérieure fermée possédant des moyens aptes à s'ouvrir sous le poids d'une personne et à se fermer immédiatement par la suite. Ainsi, ladite personne tombe successivement dans chaque module de manière contrôlée, ce qui ralentit sa chute. Ladite structure comprend un module de base situé au niveau du sol et plusieurs autres modèles, de préférence différents du module de base, destinés à s'empiler par-dessus le module de base. Idéalement, la hauteur de chaque module ne doit pas être inférieure à la hauteur de l'étage de l'immeuble auquel il est raccordé, tandis que la hauteur de la structure ne doit pas être inférieure à la hauteur du dernière étage de l'immeuble auquel ladite structure est raccordée.
