A modular sheetfeed printing press is provided herein. The printing press includes at least one printing unit, and at least one feeder module. An alignment unit is incorpor- ated at an end of each at least one printing unit, the alignment unit being adapted to be connected to an asso- ciated feeder module. A complementary alignment unit is incorporated at an end of each at least one feeder module, the complementary alignment unit being adapted to be con- nected to an associated printing unit. The complementary alignment unit is alignable and engagable with the align- ment unit. A latch is cooperatively associated with the alignment unit, to secure a selected printing unit to a selected feeder module. A coupler is provided to couple and synchronize drive power from the printing unit to the connected feeder module.
