MODULAR LANDSCAPING SYSTEM AND STRUCTURES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A system for constructing landscape structures and bordering, landscape retaining walls, landscape modules, and planting structures of varying sizes, layers, and configurations, including modules and walls built from said system. Landscaping structures including modules (22), fences, walls and the like are custom erected at the job site from groups of component landscaping logs (20) of assorted lengths that are machined to interlock with cooperating male ends (44) and female ends (42). The preferred landscaping log comprises a central body (40) that is generally in the form of a parallelepiped having a square cross section. Each log comprises spaced apart male and female ends. The female end (42) comprises a pair of apertured, spaced-apart flanges (45) with a receptive notch or dap (46) defined therebetween. The male end (44) comprises an apertured, outwardly projecting, flange (48) adapted to be inserted within the receptive notch (46). Aligned flange orifices (51, 53) are penetrated by properly sized dowels (55) to pivotally lock the logs and layers of logs together and anchor the various modules and wall structures through their joints to the ground, thus forming a variety of landscaping units and structures. Male and female terminators (101, 112 respectively) attachable to the 1098 (20) provide a graduated termination, and compensate for irregular terrain. A bench (71) is provided for coupling between similar modules (67). Numerous multi-layer, polygonal landscaping modules, edgings, buildings, enclosures, and fences can be custom formed. A deadman adaptation 190 is provided for reinforcing wall sections (193, 194).
