MODULE LINE PROTECTOR Abstract A line protector has an arrester module with at least one overvoltage arrester having at least two electrodes. Contacts are connected to the respective electrodes and are electrically isolated by a dielectric member to define a plug portion for removably connecting the arrester between the line to be protected and ground. The arrester may be of the carbon or gas tube type. The arrester modules are removably plugged into base modules that are supported on a ground buss.
