The modular pillar of the present invention is assembled by overlaying precast brick layers, one on top of the other to form a pillar of such layers. Each layer has a depression, groove, channel, cut-out, or the like, recessing one of its horizontal surfaces for interlocking mating with a corresponding elevation or protrusion on the adjacent horizontal surface of the next adjacent layer.

La présente invention porte sur un pilier modulaire qu'on construit en superposant des assises de brique préassemblées de manière à former le pilier, assise par assise. Chaque assise comporte une partie creuse, une rainure, un canal, un évidement ou autre chose du genre mettant en retrait l'une de ses surfaces horizontales pour assurer un emboîtement avec une saillie correspondante sur la surface adjacente de l'assise suivante.
