A modular power distribution system (10) comprises a chassis (12) and a backplane (54) including a power input, and a plurality of module connection locations. A plurality of modules (16, 18) are mounted in the chassis (12), each module mounted to one of the module connection locations. Each module includes: (i) a circuit protection device (62); and (ii) a power output connection (60) location. Bus bars (52) connect front power inputs (50) to the backplane (54).
