There is provided a modular segment for a tower which provides additional strength and resistance against deflection due to wind forces and/or weight caused by ice accumulation on the support guy wires. The modular segment has an elongated member and two fasteners mounted in a distal manner on the elongated member, each fastener having at least two fastening points. The modular segment also has at least one tension element mounted on the elongated member, transversally to the elongated member and between the fasteners. Each tension element is provided with at least two anchor points evenly distributed around the elongated member. The modular segment is also provided with at least two wires, each being connected between the corresponding fastening points via the anchor points so as to be evenly distributed around the elongated member. Each of the wires is mounted under tension by means of the at least one tension element.
L'invention concerne un segment modulaire conférant à un pylône une résistance supplémentaire et une résistance à la flexion entraînée par la force du vent et/ou le poids de la neige accumulée sur les haubans de support. Ce segment modulaire comprend un élément allongé et deux pièces de fixation montées distales sur l'élément allongé, chaque pièce de fixation comprenant au moins deux points de fixation. Le segment modulaire comprend également au moins un élément de tension monté sur l'élément allongé, perpendiculaire à celui-ci, entre les pièces de fixation. Chaque élément de tension est pourvu d'au moins deux points d'ancrage répartis uniformément autour de l'élément allongé. Le segment modulaire selon l'invention est également pourvu d'au moins deux câbles, chaque câble étant raccordé entre les points de fixation correspondants par l'intermédiaire des points d'ancrage, de sorte à être réparti uniformément autour de l'élément allongé. Chaque câble est monté tendu au moyen de l'élément de tension au moins.
