ABSTRACT Patent of Invention for "MODULAR SELF-LOCKING PANELS" connectable to each other, defining a closed polygon with at least one type of panel (P), each provided with a pair of opposite connecting edges and at least a pair of opposite end edges; first locking means (1) provided along at least one of the connecting edges of first panels, adaptable in first lock receiving means (20) pro- vided along at least another connecting edge of an adjacent panel, so as to prevent the separation of two adjacent panels in a first and a second direction orthogonal to the intersection line of said panels; first backstop means (30) provided along at least one of the connecting edges of modular receiving panels and first backstop re- ceiving means (40) provided along at least another connecting edge of the panels adjacent to the receiving panels, said first backstop means (30) being seatable on the first backstop receiving means (40) so as to prevent the displacement of said other connecting edge of one of the adjacent panels in direction of the other connecting edge of the modular receiving panels in the second di- rection, orthogonally to the intersection line of each pair of adjacent panels and parallel to the modular receiving panels; second locking means (50) provided near at least one of the connecting edges of modular connecting panels and second lock receiving means (60) provided near at least another connecting edge of the panels adjacent to the mo- dular connecting panels, said second locking means being adaptable into the second lock receiving means so as to prevent the relative displacement between two adjacent panels in a direction parallel to the intersection line; third locking means (30, 70) provided along at least one of the connecting edges of modular locking panels and fitting the connect- ing edges in the adjacent panels, so as to prevent the relative rotating movement between a pair of adjacent panels, around the intersection line thereof in a direction towards a decreasing dihedral angle; an elastically deformable means (80) arranged between at least one of the connecting edges of modular adjusting panels and the structure of the adjacent panel, so as to constantly urge the latter in a direction orthogonal to the intersection line therebetween and pushing each panel into a spaced apart position therebetween from said intersection line.
