MODULAR SPACE-FRAMED STRUCTURES ABSTRACT A simple building construction utilizing a few components is disclosed. In lieu of usual pin joints, rigid continuous joints are provided at junctures between equal length members. Bolts are provided at points of counterflexure. Essentially, two (2) sets of members are interconnected by three (3) bent plate connectors, forming penta-hexagonal space configurations. All panels spanning across pentagonal and hexagonal or tetra-hexagonal frames are made of inflatable panels. A single-ply PVC covering is provided over the roof to protect the entire structure from enviornmental conditions. Each panel frame can be completed separately on the ground before being bolted together in space utilizing little scaffolding. The simplicity of this construction means savings in erection, time and material, without sacrifice in the effi- ciency and function of the building.
