A modular stackable USB hub system including a stackable USB (40). The stackable USB hub having an upstream power port (44) for mounting to other upstream components (80) in the stackable component system. The upstream power port (44) includes an upstream power port connector (46), a voltage conductor (56) and ground conductor (58a) for receiving voltage and ground from the upstream component (80) to supply the high current requirement of the USB hub in high power applications. The stackable USB hub (40) further includes a downstream power port (64) for mounting to other downstream components (90) in the modular stackable component system. The downstream power port (64) includes a downstream power port connector (66), a voltage conductor (56) and a ground conductor (58a). The voltage and ground conductors are connected to the respective voltage and ground conductors of the USB upstream power port connector (46) for passing voltage and ground to the downstream component (80) connected to the downstream power port (64). The modular stackable USB hub system (40) includes other components such as a base unit (100) having a suitable power port (64') for releasably mounting to the stackable USB hub.
La présente invention concerne un système de noyau USB comportant un USB empilable (40). Le noyau d'USB empilables comportant une entrée d'alimentation (44) amont pour le montage d'autres composants (80) amont dans le système de composants empilables.
