A modular storage system for installation on a floor includes a plurality of carts. Each cart includes a base that generally has a length that separates opposed ends of the base, a storage structure that is operably attached to and carried by the base, at least three pivotable wheel assemblies, the wheel assemblies being operably attached to and extending below the base to provide a rolling surface adapted to roll on the floor; and at least one track follower mechanism that is operably attached to one end of the base and having at least a portion of which is selectively vertically movable to engage the track.
La présente invention a trait à un système de rangement modulaire destiné à être installé sur un sol comportant une pluralité de chariots. Chaque chariot comporte une base qui présente une longueur globale séparant deux extrémités opposées de la base, une structure de rangement qui est fixée en fonctionnement à la base et portée par celle-ci, au moins trois ensembles de roues pivotantes, les ensembles de roues étant fixés en fonctionnement à la base et s'étendant en-dessous de celle-ci pour fournir une surface de roulement adaptée à rouler sur le sol, et au moins un mécanisme suiveur de voie qui est fixé en fonctionnement à une extrémité de la base et présentant au moins une portion qui est apte à un déplacement vertical de manière sélective pour être en prise avec la voie.
