A system for stacking cylindrical or coiled materials (112) includes a plurality of interengaging modules (110) for supporting and storing the cylindrical materials. Each module includes a base (114) having four corners. Each module further includes four stanchions (116) disposed at respective ones of the four corners of the base. Each stanchion is connected to the base at a lowermost end thereof and additionally includes a guide protuberance (120) that in certain embodiments is tapered or arranged at an angle with respect to the associated stanchions. The four stanchions are arranged in two pairs such that the two pairs of stanchions are disposed on opposite sides of the base. The modules also comprise two lifting members (118), each lifting member being disposed between the paired stanchions and includes an arrangement for distributing load. Each module is provided with a plurality of slots (122) in the base for interengaging with guide protuberances associated with another of the modules. The slots are disposed in spaced relation in the vicinity of the lowermost ends of respective ones of the stanchions.
Cette invention concerne un système permettant d'empiler des matériaux cylindriques ou enroulés (112), lequel système comprend plusieurs modules (110) qui vont entrer en interaction et assurer le support et le stockage de ces matériaux cylindriques. Chaque module comprend une base (114) possédant quatre coins, ainsi que quatre étançons (116) disposés aux quatre coins respectifs de la base. Chaque étançon est connecté à la base à son extrémité la plus basse, et comprend en outre une protubérance de guidage (120) qui, dans certains modes de réalisation, est de forme conique ou orientée selon un certain angle par rapport aux étançons correspondants. Les quatre étançons sont disposés en deux paires de manière à ce que ces dernières se retrouvent sur les côtés opposés de la base. Ces modules comprennent également deux éléments de levage (118) qui sont chacun disposés entre les paires d'étançons, et qui comprennent un dispositif de répartition de charge.
