A modular teat cup assembly (1) for use with a milking machine for milking cows. The modular teat cup assembly (1) comprises a hollow tubular shell (2) together with a cartridge assembly slidably received within the shell. The cartridge assembly (3) includes a spool-shaped liner (18) and a framework comprising a pair of opposing sleeve members for supporting the liner. The sleeve members are movable between an open position to permit removal and replacement of the liner, and a closed position for supporting the liner therebetween. A cap removably mounted on the bottom of the shell holds the cartridge assembly within the shell and is used to attach a milking tube in the conventional manner. A head piece includes a mouth for receiving a cow's teat, and is snapped onto the upper end of the shell to complete the modular assembly.

Ensemble gobelet modulaire (1) conçu pour être utilisé sur une machine à traire les vaches. Cet ensemble (1) comprend une enveloppe tubulaire creuse (2) dans laquelle loge coulissant un ensemble cartouche. Cet ensemble cartouche (3) comporte une doublure (18) en forme de bobine et un châssis composé d'une paire d'éléments opposés sous forme de manchons servant à supporter la doublure. Une coiffe montée amovible au fond de l'enveloppe maintient l'ensemble cartouche à l'intérieur de ladite enveloppe et s'utilise afin de fixer un tube à traire de façon classique. Une pièce de tête possède une ouverture servant à placer la tétine de la vache, cette pièce de tête étant fixée sur l'extrémité supérieure de l'enveloppe, de façon à compléter l'ensemble modulaire.
