MODULAR TELEPHONE JACK OUTLET Abstract of the Disclosure A modular telephone jack outlet has d base and a cover, a portion of the jack formation being formed on the base and another portion on the cover. The portion on the base carries the conventional cantilever spring wire contacts. A plurality of terminal strips are mounted on the base, with a cantilever spring wire contact connected to each terminal strip. Each terminal strip can have d plurality of terminals and the terminals can be of insulation displacing type. The terminal strips can be on the front surface of the base, or on the rear surface of the base, or even both.
