The invention relates to a modular trailer for automobiles, mounted on a frame that can be extended in length and width, thereby doubling the utility surface area without modifying the front angle of the hitch tongue (9). The frame includes four rails having an identical length (1, 2) and connected by a pair for bearing extensions that fit therein, i.e. one on a side (front) (3) and the other on the opposite side (rear) (4), and five crossbars (5) on which two sliding extensions (6) can slide on either side in order to modify the width of the frame. The variation of the axle track width is carried out in the same way (7, 8). The hitch tongue receives an extension on each arm it can be used for transporting raw materials (folded configuration), or bulky but light materials (wall insulation panels, etc) in the extended configuration, for transporting a motorcycle or a boat if the frame is fitted with the appropriate accessories. The aesthetic appearance can be modified with a cell of composite materials.

Le châssis est constitué de quatre longerons de longueur identique (1 ) et (2), solidaires deux à deux servant de support à des rallonges qui s'y emboîtent, l'une d'un côté (l'avant)(3) l'autre du côté opposé (l´arrière)(4) et de cinq traverses (5)sur lesquelles s'enfilent de part et d'autre 2 rallonges coulissantes(6) permettant la variation de la largeur du châssis. La variation voie de l'essieu s'effectue de la même façon. (7) et (8) La flèche reçoit une rallonge sur chaque bras. Elle permet le transport de matériaux bruts (en version repliée), ou volumineux mais légers (ex plaques d'isolation murale....) en version déployée, le transport d'une moto ou d'une embarcation si le châssis reçoit les accessoires appropriés; son esthétique se transforme avec une cellule en matériaux composites.
