A modular unit for mounting on at least two different designs of self- propelled grass treatment machine, each ma-chine having a main frame provided with a number of mounting locations for mounting respective modular units and in which the mounting locations of one machine are different in type or design from the mounting locations on the other machine, and in which the modular unit is operative to carry out a required grass treatment action when mounted in position and which comprises: a frame (111) having end frame plates (112,113) spaced apart from each other transversely with respect to the direction of forward travel of the machine; rotatable mountings (115) provided on the end frame plates; a rotatable grass-treatment device having a drive shaft ex-tending between said rotatable mountings, and provided with working elements arranged along its length; means for applying drive to said shaft; and mounting points (116,117) provided on the frame of the modular unit to accept at least two different types and/or arrangements of fitting brackets (119,120) that will permit the modular unit to be mounted on said at least two different designs of grass treatment machines.
L'invention concerne une unité modulaire destinée à être montée sur au moins deux conceptions différentes de machine de traitement de gazon automotrice. Chaque machine comporte un châssis principal pourvu de plusieurs emplacements de montage servant à monter des unités modulaires respectives; les emplacements de montage d'une machine sont de type différent ou de conception différente des emplacements de montage d'une autre machine. L'unité modulaire est capable de mettre en oeuvre une action de traitement de gazon après montage, et comporte : un cadre (111) comportant des plaques (112, 113) d'extrémité espacées l'une de l'autre de manière transversale par rapport au sens de marche de la machine; des pièces(115) de montage rotatives prévues sur les plaques d'extrémité ; un dispositif de traitement de gazon rotatif comportant un arbre d'entraînement s'étendant entre les pièces de montage rotatives, et pourvu d'éléments actifs situés sur sa longueur ; un moyen d'entraînement de l'arbre; et des points (116, 117) de montage prévus sur le cadre de l'unité modulaire, qui servent à recevoir au moins deux types et/ou dispositifs différents de supports (119, 120) d'assemblage permettant de monter l'unité modulaire sur au moins deux conceptions différentes de machines de traitement de gazon.
