An integrated window frame and glass run channel for a door of an automotive vehicle has an elongated core having opposite ends adapted to be attached within the interior of a vehicle door. The core is generally "U"-shaped in cross-section with a pair of legs joined by a web. The web and one of the legs are hollow and receive a structural pillar at each end of the core. An elastomeric cover is bonded to the core and provides a glass run channel adapted to slidably receive edge portions of a window pane.
