The invention relates to a method to modulate plant growth or development by modifying genes in plants. The invention among others relates to modifying RKS genes or gene products as found in Arabidopsis thaliana or other plants. The invention provides a method for modulating a developmental pathway of a plant or plant cell comprising modifying a gene or modifying expression of said gene, wherein said gene is encoding a protein belonging to a signaling complex comprising RKS protein, ELS protein, NDR/NHL protein, SBP/SPL protein and RKS/ELS ligand protein.

L'invention se rapport à un procédé permettant de moduler la croissance ou le développement de plantes en modifiant des gènes dans ces plantes. L'invention concerne notamment la modification des gènes ou produits géniques RKS tels que ceux qu'on trouve dansArabidopsis thaliana ou dans d'autres plantes. L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de moduler le processus de développement d'une plante ou d'une cellule de plante, consistant à modifier un gène ou à modifier l'expression dudit gène, ce gène codant pour une protéine qui fait partie d'une complexe de signalisation comprenant une protéine RKS, une protéine ELS, une protéine NDR/HHL, une protéine SBP/SPL et une protéine de ligand RKS/ELS.
