The present invention relates to methods and compositions for the treatment and/or the prevention of conditions related to high levels of expression and/ or activity of the transient receptor potential vanilloid-1 (TRPV1). Amongst others, the conditions to be treated are eye conditions such as discomfort and altered sensitivity of the cornea following refractive surgery, use of contact lenses, dry eyes and diabetic retinopathy.
L'invention concerne des méthodes et des compositions permettant le traitement et/ou la prévention de troubles associés à des niveaux d'expression et/ou d'activité élevés du récepteur TRPV 1 ("transient receptor potential vanilloid-1"). Les troubles à traiter comprennent notamment des troubles oculaires tels que la sensation de gêne, ou une modification de la sensibilité au niveau de la cornée à la suite d'une chirurgie réfractive, du port de verres de contact, la sécheresse oculaire, et la rétinopathie diabétique.
