Provided herein are methods for using Cdc2-like kinase (Clk) modulators for treating and/or preventing a wide variety of diseases and disorders including, for example, diseases or disorders related to aging or stress, diabetes, obesity, neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular disease, blood clotting disorders, inflammation, cancer, ocular disorders, and/or flushing as well as diseases or disorders that would benfit from increased mitochondrial activity. Also provided are compositions comprising a Clk modulating compound in combination with another therapeutic agent.
L'invention concerne des procédés permettant d'utiliser des modulateurs de kinases de type Cdc2 (Clk) pour traiter et/ou prévenir une grande variété de maladies et de troubles, notamment des maladies ou des troubles liés au vieillissement ou au stress, l'obésité, des maladies neurodégénératives, des maladies cardio-vasculaires, des troubles de coagulation du sang, l'inflammation, le cancer, des troubles oculaires, et/ou des bouffées vasomotrices ainsi que des maladies ou troubles dont le traitement serait amélioré par une activité mitochondriale accrue. L'invention concerne enfin des compositions qui comprennent un composé modulant Clk en combinaison avec un autre agent thérapeutique.
