Abstract (In connection with Fig. 1) A module 1 of fiber mats 2 for insulating walls, ceilings etc. comprises a plurality of fiber mats 2 which are supported by at least one rod 3 extending parallel to the wall in the form of a rectangular body. Each transverse rod 3 is gripped by at least one fastening element 6 which is attachable to the wall or ceiling. The sections 5 of the fastening elements 6 which extend into the module are in the form of plates having a plurality of bores 7, distributed closely adjacent to one another in a random fashion, for receiving the transverse rods 3. - 6 -
