A heater assembly is provided that includes a substrate having opposed end portions defining raised flanges, a slot extending between the opposed end portions, and opposed chamfered surfaces extending along the slot and across the raised flanges. In one form, a plurality of layers are disposed onto the substrate, along with a pair of terminal pads. A protective cover defining at least one aperture is disposed over the layers and is secured to the raised flanges and the opposed chamfered surfaces of the substrate, and the aperture is disposed proximate the terminal pads. A pair of lead wires is secured to the pair of terminal pads, and a lead cap assembly is disposed around the pair of lead wires and is secured to the protective cover. Methods of manufacturing the heater assembly are also provided in accordance with the present disclosure.
L'invention concerne un ensemble chauffant comprenant un substrat présentant des parties d'extrémités opposées définissant des flasques saillants, une rainure s'étendant entre les parties d'extrémités opposées, et des surfaces chanfreinées opposées s'étendant le long de la rainure et traversant les flasques saillants. Dans un mode de réalisation, une pluralité de couches est disposée sur le substrat, ainsi qu'une paire de plages de bornes. Un couvercle de protection définissant au moins un orifice est disposé par-dessus les couches et est fixé aux flasques saillants et aux surfaces chanfreinées opposées du substrat, l'orifice étant disposé à proximité des plages de bornes. Une paire de fils de branchement est fixée à la paire de plages de bornes, et un ensemble capuchon de fils est disposé autour de la paire de fils de branchement et fixé au couvercle de protection. La présente invention concerne également des procédés de fabrication de l'ensemble chauffant.
