A injection mold for injection molding of plastic by means of internal gas pressure. An inner mold cavity, which is defined by mold halves, is filled with a plastic injection mass via an inlet channel and internal pressurization takes place via a feed nozzle. Furthermore, the injection mold has an outlet channel which there is a valve which can be opened and closed. In the process for production of plastic injection molded parts with this injection mold, during injection of the molded part and the plastic mass is internally pressurized via the feed nozzle for producing a cavity in the molded part, at which time the valve in the outlet channel is kept closed. After at least partial hardening of the molded part, and with the injection mold still closed, the valve is opened and the gas is discharged from the injection mold via the outlet channel. Preferably foran intensified, forced cooling, a heat exchange or cooling medium can be optionally delivered to the mold cavity via the feed nozzle and/or an additionalfeed nozzle.
