16-54(8519)A MOLDABLE HEADLINER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A low cost, light weight thermoformable laminate suitable for making headliners for automobiles is provided. The laminate comprises a sheet of foamed thermoplastic polymer having a sheet of paper laminated to one side thereof. The paper has a barrier coating on the outer surface thereof and a balance of basis weight, tensile strength and stretch selected so that the paper will not significantly wrinkle, tear or separate from the foamed sheet during thermoforming of the laminate.
