MOLDED EXPANSION JOINT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Two concrete slabs separated by a gap are interconnected by a molded expansion joint formed by a pair of composite margine bodies formed of metal and elastomeric material which are dis- posed on opposite sides of the gap. Each marginal body includes a groove with an aperture which is open in the direction of the gap. An elastomeric sealing means is disposed to span the gap and be received through the marginal body apertures for mounting in the grooves thereof wherein each marginal body includes a metal mount- ing plate embedded in the elastomeric material thereof which over- lies the groove associated therewith. Anchor means secure each of the marginal bodies against the slabs whereby the mounting plate therein reinforceably urge the longitudinal edges of the sealing means into a firm engagement against the slabs.
