A fastener is provided for engagement with one or more object(s) formed with an opening to receive the fastener. The fastener has a head portion and an integrally formed flexural portion. The head portion has a confronting surface from which the integral flexural portion projects. The flexural portion features a support portion and at least one flexural portion. Each flexural portion includes a distal surface inclined with respect to the confronting surface of the head at an angle that facilitates elastic deformation of the flexural portion upon application of the fastener to an opening of an object. The flexural portion also features a proximal surface, inclined and tapered with respect to the confronting surface of the head portion at angles that facilitates fixed retention of the fastener despite variation in the thickness of the object to which to the fastener is fastened.
