A shoe footbed 10 made by first molding a shape-retaining layer 12 into a contoured condition. After the shape-retaining layer 12 has been molded, a layer of thermal insulation 14 is placed on top of the molded layer 12. A conforming layer 16 and a fabric top layer 18 may be placed over the thermal insulation 14 and the shape-retaining layer 12. The inventive method of manufacture is particularly suited for making insulated footbeds that contain nonwoven webs of polymeric microfiber because damage to the fibrous web from heat and compression may be avoided.
L'invention concerne un lit plantaire de chaussure 10 réalisé d'abord par moulage d'une couche de maintien de forme 12 pour obtenir un contour donné. Une fois que l'on a moulé la couche de maintien de forme 12, on dispose une couche d'isolation thermique 14 au-dessus de la couche moulée 12. On peut disposer une couche de conformée 16 et une couche supérieure en tissu 18 au-dessus de l'isolation thermique 14 et de la couche de maintien de forme 12. Le procédé de fabrication de l'invention est tout indiqué pour la fabrication de lits plantaires isolés contenant des trames non tissées de microfibres polymères dans la mesure où l'on protège la trame fibreuse de la chaleur et de la compression.
