A molded pharmaceutical primary closure including a thermoplastic elastomer molded into the shape of a closure and having a compression set less than about forty percent, an oxygen transmission rate of less than 500 cc/m2/day, a moisture vapor transmission rate of less than 2 gm/m2/day, and a needle penetration force of less than 2000 grams.

La présente invention a pour objet un dispositif de fermeture pour usage pharmaceutique obtenu par moulage d'une matière élastomère; la fermeture primaire est composée d'un élastomère thermoplastique moulé sous forme de fermeture ayant une compression rémanente inférieure à environ quarante pour cent, un taux de transmission à l'oxygène inférieur à 500 CC/m2/jour, un taux de transmission de la vapeur d'eau de moins de 2 g/m2/jour, et une résistance de pénétration de l'aiguille inférieure à 2000 grammes.
