A unitary injection-molded plastic holder frame for displaying an advertising placard or the like has four frame sides connected at their ends into a rectangle, a contiguous trio of the sides having generally coplanar mutually directed shallow channels therein for receiving the side margins along three sides of the placard with the remaining frame side being slotted along its length to separate that side into two parallel frame strips. The slot is in coplanar relation to said shallow channels and communicates at its ends with the corresponding ends of the channels in two opposite frame sides whereby the placard can be inserted via the slot into the frame with the margins of its three sides protruding into said channels. Detent means is provided for positively retaining said placard in its inserted position within said frame, in the form at least one nib carried on an inner face of at least one of the frame strips projecting toward the opposite strip substantially into contact with the inner face of said opposite strip face and preventing the accidental passage of said placard through said slot. Preferably, each nib has an inclined edge extending from a point adjacent the inner side of the frame strip to a point adjacent its outer side and sloping in the direction from the inner to the outer side toward the opposite frame strip, the inclined edge facilitating the intentional passage of the placard past the nibs for removal from the frame.
On décrit un cadre de plastique réalisé d'une seule pièce par procédé de moulage par injection, servant à fixer un panneau publicitaire. Le cadre comporte quatre côtés assemblés de façon à former un rectangle, trois de ces côtés portant des canaux coplanaires peu profonds, dans lesquels on insère les arêtes du panneau publicitaire. Le quatrième côté comporte une fente dans l'axe de sa longueur, qui sépare ainsi ce côté en deux morceaux parallèles. Cette fente se situe dans le même plan que les canaux et s'agence à ses extrémités aux extrémités des canaux des côtés adjacents. On insère le panneau publicitaire par le côté pourvu d'une fente et on le fait glisser dans les canaux, de sorte que le panneau est supporté à la marge par trois des côtés du cadre. Le panneau est retenu en place par des moyens d'assujetissement prenant la forme d'au moins une protubérance située sur la face intérieure d'un des morceaux, cette protubérance allant jusqu'à toucher la face intérieure du morceau opposé du même côté, ce qui empêche le panneau de coulisser hors du cadre par la fente. De préférence, chaque protubérance est pourvue d'un rebord incliné s'étendant de l'arête intérieure à l'arête extérieure du morceau et dont l'inclinaison le rapproche du morceau opposé suivant que l'on se déplace de l'arête intérieure à l'arête extérieure, le but de ce rebord incliné étant de faciliter l'extraction du panneau, malgré la présence des protubérances.
