MOLDING DEVICE AND METHOD OF FORMING THE SAME ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The device comprises a coolant box having a coolant flow chamber with a top opening therein. The chamber in turn has a top-opening mold cavity defining member supported therein so as to register with the top opening of the chamber. However, the mem- ber has a greater widthwise dimension in the chamber than the top opening thereof, and is connected with the defining wall of the chambar to prevent chamber coolant from leaking into the cavity of the member through the top opening thereof. According to the method, this is accomplished by inserting such a member upwardly into the chamber through an opening in the bottom thereof, forming a top opening in the chamber to register with the top opening of the mem- ber, and connecting the inserted portion of the member with the de- fining wall of the chamber to prevent the chamber coolant from leak ing as indicated. A hot top for the box, and a method of forming the same, are also disclosed.
