ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Use of a selected combination of an ionic hydrocarbon copolymer and Sb2O3 in the presence of a halogenated flame retardant has been found to increase flame-retardancy without lowering thermal stability of a polyethylene terephthalate molding blend which contains the ionic hydrocarbon copolymer or ionic salt of a hydrocarbon acid and a low molecular weight compound.
