The invention provides a solvent mixture comprising n-propyl bromide, a mixture of low boiling solvents and, preferably, a defluxing and/or ionics removing additive and/or at least one saturated terpene. The invention also provides a method of cleaning an article (e.g., an electrical, plastic, or metal part) in a vapor degreaser using the solvent mixture. The solvent mixture of the invention is non-flammable, non-corrosive, and non-hazardous. In addition, it has a high solvency and a very low ozone depletion potential. Thus, using the solvent mixture of the invention, oil, grease, rosin flux, and other organic material can be readily removed from the article of interest in an environmentally safe manner.
Cette invention a trait à un mélange de solvants contenant du bromure de n-propyle, un mélange de solvants au point d'ébullition bas et, de préférence, un adjuvant permettant d'éliminer un fondant et/ou des composés ioniques, et/ou au moins un terpène saturé. L'invention concerne également un procédé de nettoyage d'un produit (par exemple, une pièce électrique, plastique ou métallique) dans un dégraisseur à la vapeur utilisant ce mélange de solvants. Ledit mélange selon l'invention est non-inflammable, non-corrosif et inoffensif. En outre, il présente une solvabilité élevée et un potentiel d'appauvrissement de l'ozone faible. Ainsi, grâce à l'utilisation du mélange de solvants selon l'invention, on peut rapidement éliminer la présence d'essence, de graisse, de fondant à base de résine et d'une autre matière organique dans le produit concerné et ce, d'une manière écologique.
