Novel bifunctional hydrazine derivatives of general formula (I), where E is alkenyl or H2, J is -CONH-, -COO-, -COS- or -NHCO-, T is alkylene or if J is -CONH-, T is the residue of an amino acid moiety, Q is a hydrophilic or cleavable moiety, and Z is an amine- and/or thiol-reactive moiety, are useful linker molecules for attaching metal ions such as 99m Tc to macromolecules such a MAB's or MAB fragments.
