An impeller (1) for a molten metal pump having a cylindrical body comprised of a refractory material. The cylindrical body includes generally coplanar top (2) and bottom (12) surfaces. A central bore (4) is provided in the top surface (2) to provide a point for mating with a shaft. A plurality of circumferentially spaced passages (6) extend from the top surface (2) to a side wall (8) of the impeller (1), each of the passages being separate and preferably having an inlet opening (5) which is equal to or less than the corresponding outlet opening (9) in size.

L'invention a pour objet une turbine (1) pour pompe à métal liquide comprenant un corps cylindrique fabriqué dans un matériau réfractaire. Le corps cylindrique est composé d'une surface supérieure (2) et d'une surface inférieure (12), ces deux surfaces étant généralement copolaires. La surface supérieure (2) est dotée d'un alésage central (4) devant recevoir un manche. Une pluralité de conduits circulaires espacés (6) s'étendent depuis la surface supérieure (2) vers une paroi latérale (8) de la turbine (1), chacun de ces conduits étant séparé et doté de préférence d'une ouverture d'entrée (5) égale ou inférieure en taille à l'ouverture de sortie (9) correspondante.
