PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne un procédé pour la flot- tation de minerais, caractérisé en ce que l'on ajoute à une pulpe aqueuse de minéraux, de 10 à 500 grammes d'un collecteur par tonne de minéral à traiter, le collecteur étant constitué par un composé de formule: R - S - Y - R'Z où R représente un groupe alkyle, alkényle, aryle ou alkoxy, Y représente O ou S, R' représente un radical de formule - (CH2)n- n étant un nombre entier compris entre 1 et 12, Z repré- sente un radical -OR" , -COOR" , - COONHR" ou-COON(R" )2 et peut être sur n'importe lequel des atomes de carbone de la chaîne R', R" représentant un atome d'hydrogè- ne ou un groupement alkyle, alkényle ou phényle; et ensuite l'on barbotte de l'air dans la pulpe et récupère la mousse ainsi formée. Ce procédé permet une améliora- tion substantielle des rendements obtenus.
