A method of attaching a tubular (22) to an existing tubular (10) in a well without reducing the inside diameter of the well is described. A shoe (14, 19, 28, 32, 42, 48, 58, 66) is attached to the lower end of the existing lowermost casing or tubular, generally prior to the casing being cemented or otherwise secured in the wellbore. The shoe has a diameter larger than the inside diameter of the casing or tubular to which it is attached. Subsequently, a liner is run in until its top end is in the enlarged diameter region of the shoe. A hanger can be optionally used. The liner is expanded into the enlarged diameter so that the net result is that the inside diameter in the wellbore is not reduced by the addition of the liner.

L'invention est un procédé de fixation d'un tubulaire (22) à un tubulaire existant (10) dans un puits, sans réduction du diamètre intérieur du puits. En l'occurrence, on monte un sabot (14, 19, 28, 32, 42, 48, 58, 66) à l'extrémité inférieure de l'élément de cuvelage ou du tubulaire le plus profond, généralement avant le cimentage ou de toute autre fixation du cuvelage dans le puits de forage. Le diamètre du sabot est supérieur au diamètre intérieur du cuvelage ou du tubulaire auquel il est fixé. Il en résulte qu'on fait descendre une colonne perdue jusqu'à ce que son extrémité supérieure arrive dans la zone de diamètre agrandi du sabot. On peut éventuellement se servir d'un dispositif de suspension. On déploie la colonne perdue jusqu'à son diamètre agrandi de façon que le résultat net soit que le diamètre intérieur du puits foré ne soit pas réduit par l'ajout de la colonne perdue.
