La présente invention a trait à un procédé pour la détermination du niveau de la protéine PTX3 dans un prélèvement de fluide biologique; à un hybridome capable de produire un anticorps anti-PXT3 de rat, ledit hybridome étant choisi parmi le groupe comprenant MNB-10 et Pen-3; à un anticorps monoclonal spécifique anti-PTX3 de rat choisi parmi les anticorps monoclonaux produits par les hybridomes MNB-10 et Pen-3; à une trousse pour la détermination du niveau de la protéine PTX3 dans un fluide biologique, ladite trousse comportant un anticorps monoclonal anti-PTX3 de rat.
