Disclosed are monoclonal antibodies having binding specificity to human CETP (Cholesterol Ester Transfer Protein) or CETP inhibition activity. These monoclonal antibodies are useful as reagents to quantify human derived CETP in a sample with high sensitivity without treating the sample with heat or a detergent or to purify human CETP or are useful as pharmaceuticals for preventing and/or treating diseases such as hyperlipemia, arteriosclerosis and hyperalphalipoproteinemia.
L'invention porte sur un anticorps monoclonal présentant une avidité fortement spécifique pour la CEPT humaine (activité inhibitrice de la CEPT) et s'avérant utile comme réactif pour la quantification et la purification de la CEPT humaine et comme préventif ou remède contre l'hyperlipémie ou l'artériosclérose, ainsi que sur des procédés pour la quantification et la purification de la CEPT humaine. Ledit anticorps permet de quantifier facilement la CEPT humaine présente dans un échantillon avec une grande sensibilité et sans devoir le traiter par la chaleur ou des tensioactifs. Compte tenu de sa forte activité inhibitrice de la CEPT, ledit anticorps peut servir de médicament pour le traitement ou la prévention de différentes maladies telles que l'hyperlipémie, l'hyperlipoprotéinémie à haute densité, l'hypercholestérolémie et l'artériosclérose.
