The technical field of the invention is that of optical fittings for spectacles. The invention concerns optical fittings for spectacles and the method for making them, which consists in providing a deformable clasp (1) or clasp blank for securing a monocular shield for spectacles, comprising: a first end (2) to be fixed to said shield; a second end (4) to be placed in contact with the peripheral zone of a glass or part of the frame; a bent (32, 33) central part (3) linking the ends (2, 4), overlapping the edge of the glass or the bridge of the frame of the spectacles.
