The present invention relates to an epilator comprising a holder (5) and a deformable unitary epilating element (1) prestressed into a curved configuration and mounted rotatably on said holder (5), said unitary element being made up of a plurality of adjacent discs (2) connected together by spacers and hinge elements (3), comprising at least one protuberance running essentially perpenndicular to said discs, said spacers arranged in such a way as to form a pivot line (8) for two adjacent discs (2) which, when said unitary element (1) is being used by being rotated, each pivot with their neighbour and form a diverging region (9) where certain discs (2) are parted from each other leaving open spaces (6), and a converging compression region (10) where certain discs (2) are pressed against each other, forming tweezers which pinch and remove the hairs from the skin.
La présente invention se rapporte à un épilateur comportant un support (5) et un élément d' épilation monolithique déformable (1) précontraint en configuration courbée et monté de manière rotative sur ledit support (5), ledit élément monolithique étant formé d'une pluralité de disques adjacents (2), liés entre eux par des éléments d'espacement et d'articulation (3) comportant au moins une protubérance essentiellement perpendiculaire auxdits disques, lesdits éléments d'espacement étant agencés de telle sorte qu'ils forment une ligne de basculement (8) pour deux disques adjacents (2) qui lors de l'utilisation dudit élément monolithique (1) par mise en rotation, basculent deux par deux et forment une zone divergente (9) où certains disques (2) sont écartés les uns des autres laissant des espaces ouverts (6), et une zone de compression convergente (10) où certains disques (2) sont pressés les uns contre les autres, formant des pinces pour la prise et l'enlèvement des poils de la peau.
