The present invention provides a compound represented by the formula (I): wherein ring A is void or a benzene ring optionally having substituent(s), R1 and R2 are each independently a phenyl group optionally having substituent(s), a cyclohexyl group and the like, R3 and R4 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group and the like, and X is a residue represented by -OR5 or -NHR6 wherein R5 and R6 are a lower alkyl group optionally having substituent(s), an aralkyl group optionally having substituent(s) and the like, a asymmetric transition metal complex containing the compound as a ligand and a production method of optically active compound using the complex as an asymmetric catalyst.

L'invention concerne un composé représenté par la formule (I), dans laquelle le cycle A est un cycle vide ou un cycle benzénique qui comprend éventuellement un ou des substituants ; R?1¿ et R?2¿ représentent chacun indépendamment un groupe phényle qui comprend éventuellement un ou des substituants, un groupe cyclohexyle et analogues ; R?3¿ et R?4¿ représentent chacun indépendamment un atome d'hydrogène, un atome d'halogène, un groupe alkyle inférieur, un groupe alcoxy inférieur et analogues ; et X est un résidu représenté par -OR?5¿ ou -NHR?6¿, R?5¿ et R?6¿ représentant un groupe alkyle inférieur qui comprend éventuellement un ou des substituants, un groupe aralkyle qui comprend éventuellement un ou des substituants et analogues, un complexe de métal de transition asymétrique contenant le composé en tant que ligand et un procédé de production d'un composé actif sur le plan optique au moyen du complexe en tant que catalyseur asymétrique.
