This present invention provides a novel form of support bracket for erecting a monument and other grave site markers at the time of burial, comprising: a two piece adjustable support bracket having a lower and upper section. The lower section having a ninety degree support plate directed inward towards the casket for supporting the weight of a monument. The upper section is adjustably mounted to the bottom section by a plurality of adjusting holes and support bolts. The lower section of the bracket is supported by the ninety degree support plate and the firm soil at the bottom. of the grave. The upper section of the monument support bracket has a support plate for mounting a monument. The monument support bracket will be constructed from stainless steel or other long lasting metals and will be maintenance free.
