A B S T R A C T O F T H E I N V E N T I O N "MOPPING UNIT" A mopping unit comprises a bucket 1, a wringer with two squeeze rollers 2 and 3 mounted at the top of the bucket, and an operating mechanism which produces relative closing movement of the rollers 2 and 3. The operating mechanism comprises a foot pedal 8 mounted at a lower level on the bucket 1 and a toggle operating linkage 15,16 operative on depression of the pedal 8 to produce the relative closing movement of the rollers 2 and 3. At the end of the closing movement of the rollers 2 and 3 the toggle linkage 15,16 goes over-centre to lock the rollers 2 and 3 at a predetermined spacing in an operative mop-wringing position.
