Disclosed are methods and compositions for inducing dentine morphogenesis in a mammal. The compositions include a morphogen and are useful, e.g., in methods for sealing a cavity and desensitizing a tooth to perception of pressure and/or temperature. Preferred morphogens for use herein include osteogenic proteins, e.g., OP-1.

On décrit des procédés et des compositions pour induire la morphogénèse de la dentine chez un mammifère. La composition comprend un agent morphogénique et elle est utile, par exemple, pour fermer une cavité et pour désensibiliser une dent vis-à-vis de la pression et/ou de la température. Les agents morphogéniques préférés ici sont les protéines ostéogènes, par exemple OP-1.
