A B S T R A C T The present invention relates to a nozzle plate for ink recording devices. According to this invention, outlet openings, aligned in accordance with the desired direction of flight of the ink droplets, are provided with an ink inlet zone adapted to initially centre the writing fluid and with an accelerating zone which is concentrically disposed with respect to the inlet zone. The present invention is applicable to ink writing mechanisms for office, data- or teletype machines. The direction of flight of the ink drop- lets is improved and satellite droplets form much less frequently than in prior art devices. Also, lower operating voltages may be used on the drive elements.
