The Mother's Burping Bib is designed to assist mothers and others when burping a baby after feeding. Since a baby will often regurgitate when being burped, it is important for the person burping the baby to protect their clothing, particularly in the shoulder area, where the baby's head is generally positioned. The Mother's Burping Bib is worn by the mother (or other person burping the baby) over the shoulder against which the baby is being held and drapes down to cover the front torso. The Mother's Burping Bib is axed with a neck strap that circles the wearer's neck, attaching in the front by means of hook and loop strips. The design is meant to ensure the device remains in position when the wearer picks up or puts down a baby. This eliminates the chance of the protective covering falling off before the baby is positioned on the shoulder for burping, a common occurrence when a simple blanket or towel is draped over the shoulder for the same purpose. The Mother's Burping Bib is designed to be reversible to allow for use on either shoulder. It is washable and is constructed of absorbent flannel material for the baby's comfort.
