The invention relates to a method of identifying modulators of programmed cell death, comprising an interaction between a motif of Beclin protein and an anti-apoptotic member of the family of Bcl-2 proteins and the detection of said interaction be means of fluorescence polarisation. The modulators identified on the basis of said method are administered to cancer patients in order to induce apoptotic- and/or autophagic-type programmed cell death. The invention also relates to a motif of the Beclin protein which can interact with an anti-apoptic member of the family of Bcl-2 proteins and to the use thereof in order to induce programmed cell death in a cancer patient.
L'invention a pour objet une méthode d'identification de modulateurs de la mort cellulaire programmée comprenant l'interaction entre un motif de la protéine Beclin et un membre anti-apoptotique de la famille de protéines Bcl-2 et la détection de cette interaction par polarisation de fluorescence. Les modulateurs identifiés sur la base de ladite méthode sont administrés aux patients atteints de cancers afin d'induire de la mort cellulaire programmée de type apoptotique et/ou autophagique chez ces derniers. L'invention concerne également un motif de la protéine Beclin capable d'interagir avec un membre anti-apoptotique de la famille de protéines Bcl-2 et son utilisation pour induire, chez le patient atteint d'un cancer, de la mort cellulaire programmée.
