ABSTRACT An improved suspension system for tandem axle vehicles characterized by a horizontally oriented frame, a pair of live axles, and a pair of walking beam assemblies disposed beneath the frame of the vehicles interconnecting the axles, and a pair of air springs mounted on at least one of the axles and connected to the frame for damping highway-induced motion imparted to the walking beams, and a manually operable pneumatic circuit for selectively pressurizing the air springs for dissipating harmonic motion.
