A light fixture controlled by a passive infrared motion detector including a base (10), one or more lamp holders (11) attached to the base, and a detector housing (12) also attached to the base and containing the motion detector. The lamp holders each comprise a socket housing (13) for receiving a floodlight bulb (16) or the like and a shade or reflector (17) at the front of the socket housing (13). The lamp holder assembly is connected to the base (10) by a support arm (21) that is pivotably connected to a side wall of the socket housing (13) offset from the end of the socket housing instead of being connected at the end of the socket housing as is conventional. The pivoting side mounting (22) of the lamp holder permits the lamp holder to pivot with a moment arm (24) that is significantly shorter than the overall length of the lamp holder. The shortened moment arm permits the motion detector housing to be mounted closer to the supporting base while leaving sufficient space for the lamp holders to swing through a wide range of movement without the risk of inducing false activations through interference with the movable motion detector housing (12).
Cette installation lumineuse, commandée par un capteur de mouvement passif à infrarouge, comprend un socle (10), un ou plusieurs supports (11) de lampes fixés sur ce socle, ainsi qu'un boîtier (12), également fixé sur celui-ci et contenant le capteur de mouvement. Les supports de lampes comportent chacun une douille (13) destinée à recevoir une ampoule (16) du type projecteur ou analogue, ainsi qu'un abat-jour ou réflecteur (17) placé sur l'avant de la douille (13). L'ensemble support de lampe est relié au socle (10) par un bras (21) porteur, lequel est monté pivotant sur une paroi latérale de la douille (13), de manière décalée par rapport à l'extrémité de celle-ci, plutôt que d'être raccordé, de façon classique, au niveau de l'extrémité de la douille. Le montage (22) latéral pivotant du support permet à celui-ci de pivoter avec un bras de levier dont la longueur est nettement plus courte que celle hors tout du support de lampe. Ce bras de levier permet de monter le boîtier du capteur de mouvement plus près du socle tout en laissant un espace suffisant aux supports de lampe pour que ceux-ci puissent osciller sur une large plage de déplacement sans risquer d'induire de fausses activations, par interférence avec le boîtier (12) mobile du capteur de mouvement.
